Lead-Acid Batteries
The AusForce® NT12 Series valve-regulated, sealed lead-acid 12 V batteries are available in capacities ranging from 4 to 250 AH. Special electrolyte-retentive separators hold the acid — there is no free acid inside the battery, so it can be mounted in any position.
The batteries require no addition of water and use technology that allows internal absorption of produced gas. With no corrosive gas or free electrolyte involved, the risks of damage to equipment and environmental pollution are negated.
CSIRO ActivFire® listed
The AusForce® NT12 Series valve-regulated sealed lead-acid batteries have been evaluated and verified by CSIRO as conforming with the relevant requirements of:
- Technical Specification TS001, Version 1.1, 17-Jul-2006 — 'Lead-acid batteries for control and indicating equipment, AS 4428.5-1998, clause 2.6'
The AusForce® NT12 Series batteries are approved by CSIRO for use in fire control and indicating equipment and are listed on the ActivFire® Register of Fire Protection Equipment (Certificate No. afp-2549).
